Frankenstein at the Opera House

We went to see the Broadway touring production of Young Frankenstein at the Detroit Opera House last night. It was tons of fun. We had second row seats! Plus, I'd never been to the Opera House before and was wowed by it's beauty and history. When it was built in 1922 it was the fifth largest theater in the world.

Thoses old opera houses are a treat in themselves. It's a doubly special treat when I get to see my daughter on stage!

The City of Detroit did a good thing when they restored the Opera House - a great history that deserved a fresh beginning. So glad that you two could enjoy being there as you enjoyed the show!

What a stunning theatre! I loved the movie of Young Frankenstein and have been told the stage version is a riot.
